Chairman's Note

Let's be direct: the "Soutien Commando" association aims to improve the daily lives of Special Forces and Parachute Commando Group members abroad. These military units are designed to carry out extreme missions in a strategic context, autonomously and in a highly hostile environment, conducting operations of high political significance, regardless of their duration.

What differentiates Special Forces and Parachute Commando Group members abroad from so-called conventional forces is that they are designed to offer the best cost-effectiveness ratio: a very high level of training, and a very small number of personnel. Intelligence gathering and transmission, liberation of hostages and prisoners, and evacuation of nationals, preparation of sites and reception of conventional units within the framework of external interventions, advanced control and guidance of aircraft for airborne operations or air strikes - and many other things - all actions entrusted to these small groups of men are vital actions for the Nation. At the moment, it's no secret, they are often called upon to combat the jihadist threat where it is, before it reaches our concert halls and shopping centers.

Let's talk about these men: the specific nature of their actions means they are necessarily cut off from the world - not just from family or friends - from others, from all others, from civilians. If you look in a dictionary, you will see that a civilian is defined only in opposition to a military person…Living in a bubble during an operation is one thing, living by moving from bubble to bubble year after year quickly strips you of the codes of "civil" life, of social life. Initially, the association's support will take the form of packages, packages for the healthy and also packages for the wounded: local products, wines & confectionery, everything that, beyond simple pleasure, is likely to remind the men of the FS and GCP that they are part of a larger community than that of the comrades with whom they risk their lives: the community of those for whom they risk it.

The "Soutien Commando" association relies on your generosity, because our goal is not only to improve daily life but also to preserve and maintain a genuine connection with France so that each of these daily extreme combatants is certain that the civilian world supports them.
