"SOLO TO ALASKA" — Where Wilderness Meets Healing. Support Allan Bercq's expedition, a former commando, for the benefit of Soutien Commando.

The Expedition

1,100 km by sea kayak, solo, from Squamish (Canada) to Ketchikan, the first city in Alaska, following the Inside Passage along the wild coasts of the North Pacific. Scheduled to depart on June 25, 2026, for a duration of two months depending on the weather, tides, and currents. This adventure is a human journey, focused on resilience and exploration.

Who is Allan?

French, at 26, he joined the Mountain Commando Group, drawn by effort, challenge, and adventure. Ten years in the French Army, five of which were as a commando. At 32, he settled in Squamish, in the heart of the outdoors. A former soldier, mountaineer, paraglider, runner, cyclist, and swimmer, he has notably completed the Tour du Mont Blanc solo trail (170 km / 2 days 11 hours), the winter ascent of Mont Blanc (17 hours 53 minutes), the Transcontinental Race by bike (4,198 km / 13 days), the crossing of Spain from north to south (1,256 km / 6 days), and the swimming crossing of Lake Annecy (14 km, 14 °C).

Why this challenge?

To raise awareness about veterans' mental health, resilience in the face of trauma, and to remind everyone that they are never alone. As a veteran, this journey is deeply personal: Allan wants to show that adventure, self-transcendence, and a return to nature can become a true path of reconstruction and healing.
