"Les rizières de nos Pères" (Our Fathers' Rice Fields) evokes the landscapes of Indochina — rice fields, the Tonkin and Cochinchina deltas, jungles, and high plateaus — where thousands of French soldiers from the French Far East Expeditionary Corps fought and fell between 1945 and 1954.

ANAPI (National Association of Former Prisoners, Internees, and Deportees of Indochina), recognized as being of general interest, brings together former prisoners, internees, and deportees from Indochina between 1945 and 1954. It works to preserve the memory of the fighters of the French Far East Expeditionary Corps (CEFEO). Of the 40,000 prisoners in Viet Minh camps, only 9,000 returned.
