FOR THE BENEFIT OF ANAPI.

"Aux Marins d'Indochine" pays tribute to French Navy sailors who served in Indochina between 1945 and 1954. The Navy notably manned the Dinassauts (Naval Assault Divisions) on the rivers of Tonkin and Cochinchina, operated naval aviation from the aircraft carriers Arromanches, Bois Belleau, and Lafayette, and supplied the Marine commandos François, Jaubert, de Montfort, and de Penfentenyo.

ANAPI (National Association of Former Prisoners, Internees, and Deportees of Indochina), recognized as being of general interest, brings together former prisoners, internees, and deportees of Indochina between 1945 and 1954. It works to preserve the memory of the combatants of the French Far East Expeditionary Corps (CEFEO). Of the 40,000 prisoners in the Viet Minh camps, only 9,000 returned.

Its mission is to identify and bring together former French prisoners, internees, and deportees captured in the Far East during World War II, the Indochina War, and the Korean War. This includes civilian and military prisoners of the Imperial Japanese Army, the Viet Minh, and the North Koreans.
