FOR THE BENEFIT OF ANAPI.

The Dinassauts (Naval Assault Divisions) were riverine units of the French Navy, created in 1947 to conduct combat operations on the rivers and arroyos of Tonkin, Annam, and Cochinchina. Composed of armored barges, LCMs, and LCTs armed and adapted for riverine combat, they transported troops, landed assault forces, escorted convoys, and launched raids in areas controlled by the Viet Minh. The Dinassauts were one of the great French tactical innovations of the Indochina War.

ANAPI (National Association of Former Prisoners, Internees, and Deportees of Indochina), recognized as being of public interest, brings together former prisoners, internees, and deportees of Indochina between 1945 and 1954. It works to preserve the memory of the combatants of the French Far East Expeditionary Corps (CEFEO). Of the 40,000 prisoners in Viet Minh camps, only 9,000 returned.

This includes civilian and military prisoners of the Imperial Japanese Army, the Viet Minh, and the North Koreans.
