"For Honor and Comrades" evokes the brotherhood of arms of French paratroopers in Indochina, particularly those who jumped into the Dien Bien Phu basin in 1954 when the battle's outcome was already sealed. This phrase summarizes the spirit of General Bigeard's men, who went to join their comrades no matter the cost.

ANAPI (National Association of Former Prisoners, Internees, and Deportees of Indochina), recognized as a public interest organization, brings together former prisoners, internees, and deportees of Indochina between 1945 and 1954. It works to preserve the memory of the soldiers of the French Far East Expeditionary Corps (CEFEO). Of the 40,000 prisoners in Viet Minh camps, only 9,000 returned.
