The Commando de Recherche et d'Action en Jungle (CRAJ) is the elite unit of the 9th Marine Infantry Regiment (9th RIMa) of the French Armed Forces in Guyana (FAG), based in Cayenne. Created in July 1998, this specialized unit has the dual mission of training units destined to operate in equatorial environments and conducting combat missions in the jungle. Its team members are experienced in coastal zone know-how, river navigation, airborne operations, and commando techniques in the world's most hostile environment.
